Amenities within the Breakwater Association:
 
  • Clubhouse - Members' clubhouse with kitchen, large-screen TV, audio system, game tables, and community library
  • Fitness - Fitness center, sauna, men's and women's restrooms and showers, and regularly scheduled activities such as water aerobics
  • Garages - Oversize private garages and ample guest parking
     
  • Pool - Full-size pool with whirlpool spa, pool deck shower
     
  • Social - Regularly organized and scheduled social events and gatherings

Amenities within Pelican Bay:
 
  • Beaches - Two private beach areas along the 3-mile western boundary of the community (North Beach and South Beach).  From 9 a.m. to sunset, beach attendants are happy to set up lounge chairs, umbrellas and cabanas.
     
  • Boating - Hobie Wave sailboats, sea kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes are available for member use
     
  • Community - The Community Center also serves as Pelican Bay's social, cultural and educational hub including an art studio, a business center, and several large meeting rooms.
     
  • Dining - All beaches feature indoor/outdoor dining with full-service bar and take-out options (Marker 36 at North Beach and Sandbar at South Beach).
     
  • Exercise - Beach exercise classes are offered at both the North and South Beach fitness decks during season (Oct through May).
     
  • Fitness - Community Center with state-of-the-art Fitness Center featuring Life Fitness and Techno Gym cardio, strength and core-training machines.

  • Pickleball - Twenty new pickleball courts were added to the Pelican Bay Community Park December 2025.  Ten are designated for Pelican Bay member use, and ten are for the public. The facility is used for open play, level play, lessons, leagues, and more. The new Pavilion in the park also has ping pong tables and corn hole. 
     
  • Tennis - Twenty-one Har-Tru tennis courts, professional instruction, leagues, round robins, and mixers.  The South Tennis Center at The Commons features ten non-lit courts.  The North Tennis Center located at the Community Center has eight lighted courts.  Each tennis center has a pro shop. The Pelican Bay Community Park added eight new courts December 2025, of which three are designated for Pelican Bay member use )and five are for the public). 
     
  • Tram - Beaches can only be accessed by the Pelican Bay tram system or a boardwalk stroll through the mangroves.  The Tram system offers the convenience of open-air, electric-powered vehicles running throughout the community's recreational areas and nature preserve.
     
  • Walking - Members enjoy walking on the berm and boardwalks, biking on the berm, and canoeing in Clam Bay through mangroves
     
  • Wellness - Wellness Studio, comprehensive Nutrition and Health program, and personal trainers on-hand for customized guidance and step-by-step support in achieving individual goals.
