Peter and his wife Susie have been Breakwater owners since 2002. They are both native New Englanders. Susie is an active artist and tennis player and frequent golfer.  Peter is an aspiring tennis player who also enjoys golf, and all that Pelican Bay has to offer. They have three children and six wonderful grandchildren, so far. 
 
Peter retired in 2021, following a forty-year career in financing and advising middle market companies across a variety of industries. Most of these companies were private and highly leveraged businesses owned by private equity and other institutional investors. He is past President of Bald Peak Land Company, a 90-unit homeowners association in the Lake’s Region of New Hampshire, and past board member of the Bald Peak Colony Club. He is also a past board member and treasurer of a condominium association in the suburbs of Boston, MA. He has an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School.

Tom and his wife Jenny have been Breakwater owners since 2017 and have been year-round residents since 2021. They have two married children, Alex and Abbey.

Tom retired after a career in the wholesale distribution industry, most recently as president at IDN Global, Inc., a North American distributor of security hardware. His educational background includes degrees from Middlebury College (BA), and Loyola University of Chicago (MBA).
 
Volunteer activities have included:
• Chair of Breakwater Ad Hoc Committee for website redesign/rebuild (2022)
• Pelican Bay Foundation Tech Advisory Group
• Early stages of the Pelican Bay Pickleball Advisory efforts
• Member of the Minor League, men’s club that supports The League Club in which Jenny is actively involved (philanthropy)
 
Other interests and activities are tennis, pickleball, biking, artificial intelligence, and spending time with family.

Ms. Katherine Azar is a Senior Healthcare Executive, with extensive experience in sales and marketing. Her expertise is in software, data, and analytics. She works with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes, manages multiple complex projects, negotiates and problem-solves with clients, and presents complex ideas to all levels of an organization. Most of her career has been spent working in Fortune 500 companies and she is currently working for Merative, formerly IBM Watson Health.

Ms. Azar has been a resident of Breakwater since 2021 and considers it home, sharing time between Naples and Minneapolis, MN. In her free time, Ms. Azar enjoys early morning bike rides around Pelican Bay and spending time with family and friends. Her son resides in Seattle, WA, and frequently visits Naples making the trek from one end of the country to the other. She has a large extended family, with several family members living in Naples and within the Pelican Bay community.

Rich began his career at Price Waterhouse in Cleveland, Ohio after graduating in 1984 with a BS in Accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and earning his CPA. Rich began in audit and later transitioned into the corporate tax department.
 
In 1991 Rich decided to leave public accounting and started a career as a bond trader at McDonald & Company in Cleveland for 7 years. In 1997 Rich accepted a position with Dain Rauscher to start up an institutional corporate bond desk in Chicago. Rich was the head corporate trader when Dain was purchased by the Royal Bank of Canada. He continued his corporate bond trading position for seven years before being hired by RW Baird to grow and develop their corporate bond department. Before retiring, Rich was a fixed income department manager at Hilltop Securities.
 
Rich and his wife Lin grew up in the Shenango Valley of Pennsylvania (northwest of Pittsburgh) and have been married 35 years. They raised their children on the North Shore of Chicago. Their daughter Maddie (age 31) is a management consultant and lives in Chicago, and their son Charlie (age 28) works in sales and lives in Denver.
 
Rich and his family have been coming to Naples for the past 25 years. He and Lin are now Florida residents and split their time between Naples and Door County, Wisconsin. Rich and Lin enjoy golfing, jogging, playing bridge and experiencing all that Breakwater/Pelican Bay has to offer.

Anne Rachel is a retired educator who began her career as an Art Teacher and evolved into Early Childhood Education. During her 22 years at a private school, she not only taught but developed curriculum and assessment tools still in use today. After leaving the classroom, Anne developed an iOS reading readiness app and co-founded and operated an educational app review site.
 
Having family roots in Southampton, NY dating back to 1640, Anne has long been involved with the Southampton History Museum. Her roles have included Trustee, Chair of Education Committee, Vice-President, President of the Board of Trustees, co-author of the Museum’s Strategic Plan and most recently served on the Museum’s Advisory Board. As a life long resident of Southampton, Anne has served on multiple civic and municipal boards and committees, currently serving on the Southampton Village Clean Water Task Force and the Southampton Village Ethics Board. 
Additionally, Anne is an active member of her church, the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, being involved with the Eucharistic, music and wedding ministries.​
 
Anne and her husband John (Sonny) became Breakwater owners in 2021 but have been part of the Breakwater community since the beginning, as her parent’s bought here pre-construction. They have two children and six grandchildren who represent the fourth generation to love and enjoy the beauty and spirit of Naples and Pelican Bay.

Heather Cartwright is a licensed attorney who retired from the United States Department of Justice at the end of 2020.  At the Justice Department Ms. Cartwright served initially as a federal prosecutor and later led and managed crime victim assistance programs for the largest federal prosecution office (U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia) and the National Security Division (where she was Director of an office dedicated to assisting U.S. citizen victims of terrorist attacks overseas.)  She earned both a BS in Finance and a JD from the University of Illinois.  After law school she clerked for a federal judge and worked in private law practice in Chicago and Los Angeles.
 
Ms. Cartwright has been coming to Naples, Florida, to visit family since 2005, and achieved her dream of retiring in Pelican Bay when she sold her investment condo in Pavilion Club and moved across the street to her Breakwater residence in 2021.   She is joined during season by her mother and spends summers at a family home in northern Michigan.

Jim retired in 2016 after a 35 year career in the municipal bond industry. Clients were tier one insurance companies, money managers, mutual funds and banks. Jim was on the board of Skokie Country Club as house manager where he was part of a team overseeing a gut rehab of the club house. He was also on the admissions committee for 8 years.

Jim and his wife Molly have been residents of Breakwater since 2021. They have been Florida residents since 2023.

Molly and Jim grew up in Winnetka, Illinois and raised their two children, Mimi and Jay there, where they attended the same schools as their parents. Jay, 36, is married and has two daughters. Emma 4 and Caroline 2. They reside in Winnetka. Mimi, 32, is married and has a daughter Nora who will be 1 in May. They live in Wisconsin.

During the summer Molly and Jim reside in Glencoe, IL. where they enjoy spending time with their children and granddaughters.

They also spend considerable time playing golf and socializing with their Chicago friends.
